This series Has been developed for monitoring and control of process level by using the principle of R.F. Capacitance. These instruments are suitable to measure liquids, slurring and bulk solid applications. Compact size and ease of installation combined with accurate sensing of level in both hazardous and non-hazardous locations render these level switches the most versatile. These are simple in design, rugged in construction. Different models are available for Single / Multi point level controls. The sensing probes are available for both conductive and non-conductive processes. A variety of configuration and mounting styles are available to meet wide range of process requirements.

Permanently reliable
Extensive test cycles not only guarantee a permanent resistance and long service life in all commonly used oils and fuels, including aggressive crude oils and biofuels, but also in flowing and stagnant waters and in wastewater treatment applications. Thanks to newly developed special cables, components made of high-alloyed stainless steel and an optional overvoltage protection against lightning, the submersible pressure sensor is perfectly suited for the measurement of liquid levels, also in the outdoor area. Precise level and temperature measurement with HART^® communication
A measurement uncertainty of max. 0.5 %, a long-term drift of 0.1 % and slight temperature errors make the LF-1 a reliable measurement solution for the monitoring of storage tanks and bodies of water.

The additional analogue temperature output facilitates the compensation of a temperature-induced density error especially at temperatures of up to -40 ... +80 °C [-40 ... +176 °F]. The integrated HART^® communication can be used for scaling the measuring range and for the parameterisation of unit, error signal, and others. Optimised electronics for battery operation

Product Details:

Ultrasonic Level Transmitters allow simple and reliable non-contact level measurement of fluids in plastic, metal or concrete tanks, sumps or other containers. The microprocessor-controlled circuit generates a pulse that sends a sound wave from the transducer face down to the fluid level which is then reflected back. The transit time is measured and converted into a 4/20mA signal. Because the speed of sound changes with air temperature, each transducer has a built-in temperature sensor which compensates for air temperature inside the tank.

Ultrasonic units have a proprietary circuit that locks onto the echo farthest from the transducer face which will always be the fluid level. This circuitry automatically filters out false echoes that may be produced by peripheral obstructions inside tank. Each unit also features a self-cleaning face which eliminates condensation. All Babbitt ABM Series offer simple, single push-button calibration. These units can be calibrated either inside the vessel, on the bench or with the factory provided software

Specification

The model LS-10 submersible pressure sensor has been optimised for simple measuring requirements in level measurement. It offers excellent quality, is cost-effective and reliable.

It has been designed to the current demands of the industry and features a 4 ... 20 mA output signal, an accuracy of 0.5 % and a cable from PUR as standard. With IP68 ingress protection, it is suitable for permanent level measurement up to 100 m water column.
